Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, February 21, 1902 Miss Whatley Dead Miss Whatley, the 17 year old daughter of Wm. Whatley, of near Concord, after an illness of some two weeks with pneumonia died at her home last Saturday night about 8 o'clock. Rev. C.V. Weathers preached her funeral at the residence of "Uncle" Peyton Horton, this county, on Sunday afternoon and her remains were laid to rest in the Horton Cemetery. Miss Whatley was a good girl and a member of the Methodist church and all who knew her attest that she was a consistent Christian. We extend to the bereft ones our deepest sympathy.
