Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, April 4, 1902 T.W. Dumas Commits Suicide T.W. Dumas, an old and respected citizen of Liberty Hill committed suicide Sunday night by hanging himself. He was found early Monday morning hanging from a small pine tree with a rope around his neck. The deed was probably done early Sunday night, as the body was stiff and cold. Mr. Dumas’ mind was supposed to have been affected by some slight financial troubles. He staid (sp) with his son John on Saturday, stating that he did not want to go home and showed great despondency. (Transcribed 03/29/04 Lynn Cunningham) Additional Comments: Thomas W.
