Death of a Good Man

Sunday evening last, about 7 o’clock, Mr. A.C. Carriker die at his home near 
Hollonville.

The deceased was about two months of his 89th birthday and was regarded as one 
of the best citizens of Pike. No one ever heard of anything other than a 
correct life in all of its places about this good old man.

He had been in declining health for several months, but he is now at rest, 
reaping the rewards of a well spent life. He raised a large family, who with a 
large circle of friends mourn the loss of father and friend. -Griffin Call
