Russell Quarrels with Wife and Whips Children Before Rash Act. Barnesville, Ga. June 27. - J.H. Russell, a white farmer about 40 years old living several miles north of Barnesville, committed suicide late Sunday by shooting himself with a shotgun, placing the muzzle in his mouth and pulling the trigger, blowing the entire tip of his head away. Death followed instantly. A coroner's jury in its verdict today said that he came to his death at his own hands. According to the best information obtainable the act was due to family troubles. He had quarreled with his wife and had whipped his son and his daughter, both about grown. In anger and perhaps in remorse for his conduct, he took his gun to the woods a short distance from his home and there shot himself.
