Death of D.J. Touchstone

D.J. Touchstone, or “Jeff” Touchstone as he is better known, died at his home 
near Zetella Saturday morning at two o’clock of Bright’s disease. He was in his 
65th year and had been a resident of this county all his life. A good man and 
conscientious Christian. He leaves a large family to mourn his loss. The 
funeral service occurred last Saturday morning at 10 o’clock at Mt. Zion 
church, of which he was a member of long standing.

Additional Comments:
This is Dennis Jefferson Touchstone, son of William N. Touchstone and Bethena 
Head. William and Bethena Touchstone were married 28 August 1832, in Pike 
County.
