The Pike County Journal. Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, February 19, 1897

Mrs. J.P. Careker of Ty Ty died suddenly Friday morning at 4 o’clock. She 
retired Thursday night in her usual good health and the doctor, her husband, 
was awakened by the cry of the baby, and called Mrs. Careker, but she failed to 
answer. Upon going to her bed he found that she was dead. They both were 
citizens of Pike county at one time.
