The Pike County Journal. Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, February 12, 1897

Mrs. E.J. McKinley, after a few days sickness died at her home near town 
Wednesday night. She was well known in this section and had many friends. She 
was a sister of Mr. C.H. Harper, one of our most successful merchants. The 
funeral occurred at the residence yesterday at 3 o’clock and the remains 
interred in the family burying ground.

At the McKinley Family Cemetery, Pike County, Georgia:
Mary Jane McKinley, Died 3 Feb. 1897, Age 40 years

Mary Jane Bailey was the daughter of Edmund Bailey and Frances Louisa Jones. 
After Edmond Bailey died, Frances Louisa married Aaron H. Harper. Frances 
Louisa Jones was the daughter of Isaac Willingham Jones and Mary Emeline 
Wadsworth.

Mary Jane Bailey was the wife of Elijah McKinley, Sr. After Mary Jane died, 
Elijah married Mary Evelyn Ballard, daughter of Powell F. Ballard and Mary 
Frances Greene.
