Banks, Who was born June 15, 1829 Died Dec. 30, 1896 Whereas it has pleased the founder of the universe and the giver of life to remove from our midst and transport his soul to the realms above where all travelers return, our much esteemed and faithful brother, W.C. Banks, Be it resolved by the Concord Masonic Lodge, now met, that while we submit with brotherly love and meekness to the Divine will of a just, tender and merciful Providence, we can but lament the death of our brother, Resolved 2nd that we tender to his bereaved wife and children our heartfelt sympathy, and point them for comfort and peace to God who doeth all things for the best, Resolved 3rd that this preamble and resolutions be spread upon the Minutes of our order, that a copy be sent to the family of our deceased brother, and that the Pike County Journal be requested to publish the same. Two of their daughters, Martha Renda Banks and Ida Virginia Banks, married two sons of William Barnes Ballard.
