A Good Lady Dies

Mrs. J.B. Mathews, wife of Clerk Mathews, died in her home at this place 
Saturday night at 12 o’clock after a long severe illness. She was a true 
Christian lady and loved by all who knew her.

She leaves a husband, seven children and many sympathizing friends to mourn her 
loss.

The funeral was preached by her pastor, Rev. J.W. Beck, at 10 o’clock Monday 
morning at the Baptist church.

We hereby tender our thanks to the neighbors and friends of our dear departed 
one for the many expressions of sympathy and acts of kindness bestowed in her 
painful and fatal illness.
