McCurtain Gazette Idabel, McCurtain Co., Oklahoma p.4 col. 2&3  Saturday September 16, 1939



          G. H. Williamson, 57, died Saturday morning (September 15, 1939) 
 at his home near Valliant and funeral services were held Sunday afternoon 
 at 4:30 o'clock at Wheelock Church.  Rev. W. R. Merry of Garvin 
 officiating.  Burial was in Wheelock Cemetery under the direction of 
 Coffey Funeral Home of Idabel.
          Williamson is survived by his wife, 5 sons, Dempsey, Jesse, 
 George, Fletcher and Allen; three daughters, Emma, Irene and Quida 
 Williamson of Valliant; two brothers, Billy(W.J.) Williamson and E. T. 
 (Tete)  Williamson of Garvin; three sisters, Mrs. J.M. (Virginia) McLeod 
 of Garvin, Mrs.Julia Birdsong, Jacksonville, Texas and Mrs.Viola Manley 
 Concord, Georgia.
          Williamson moved from Georgia to Garvin in 1910. He was born May 
 15, 1882 in Pike Co., Georgia.
