McLeod, 74, Idabel, died at McCurtain Memorial hospital at 5:30 p.m. Saturday (December 29, 1956) following a short illness. Born in Molina, Georgia, October 1, 1821, he had resided in McCurtain County 43 years, moving from Tifton, Ga. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist church. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Coffey Chapel with Rev. Klois Hargis officiating. Arrangements and burial in Dennison cemetery were under direction of Coffey funeral home. He is survived by his widow; (Virginia 'Williamson' McLeod) two sons, Aubrey and J. B. McLeod, Both of Idabel; four daughers, Mrs. Maye Irons, Fort Towson; Mrs. Cleo Shawhart and Mrs. J. W. Nicholson both of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Raymond Jones, Dallas, Tex.; one brother, Alex McLeod, Columbus, Ga.; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. File size: 1.4 Kb
