Rev. George D. Goddard, of Milner, and Rev. John Rawls officiated. Burial was in the Kendrick Family cemetery, located near the home and Haisten Brothers funeral directors were in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers, all of them grandsons, were R.L. Kendrick Jr., R.D. Buchanan, James E. Buchanan, Lamar Flynt, Bill Brown and Milton Kendrick. Mrs. Kendrick, who was 73 years of age, died about midnight Monday night. She had been in failing health for several months and had been confined to her bed for the past three weeks. Death was attributed to cerebral hemorrhage. Mrs. Kendrick was the widow of the late Mr. W.A. Kendrick. Born and reared in Meriwether county, she had been a devoted member of the New Hope Baptist church in Pike county for 52 years. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Minnie K. Cauthen, of Anniston, Ala., Mrs. J.W. Buchanan, of Woodbury, and Mrs. Cora Gresham and Mrs. Fred Peek, both of Zebulon; one son, R.L. Kendrick, of Griffin; 14 grandchildren, and 5 great- grandchildren. File size: 1.7 Kb
