Sullivan Dead Mr. James Monroe Sullivan died at the home of his son J.S. Sullivan here last Thursday night. He had been in declining health for several years and his death had been expected at any time. He was 86 years old and had lived in this county practically all of his life. His wife died in 1894. He was the father of a large family of children as follows: John Sullivan who died in the War, James Sullivan who died in Crawford county in 1900, C.W. Sullivan of Meansville, T.T. Sullivan who died ay Bartow, Ga. last year, Mrs. Georgia Smith of Zebulon, Mrs. Susie Yarborough who died in 1885, S.A. Sullivan of Zebulon, Mrs Nannie Baker of Zebulon and J.S. Sullivan of Zebulon. He was a consistent and faithful member of the Primitive Baptist church, his membership being at Harmony church near here. The funeral services were held at the Baptist church Saturday morning at 11 o’clock and were conducted by Rev. W.W. Childs of Yatesville. He was interred in the Baptist cemetery.
