The Weekly News, Griffin, Georgia, 30 July 1883

We are informed that Joseph Williamson, and aged citizen of Pike County and 
father of Thomas Williamson, a prominent citizen of Williamsville*, committed 
suicide on Monday by shooting himself through the head. The cause of the act 
is unknown.

Born about 1816/17 in South Carolina; died 16 July 1883 in Pike County.
