The Weekly News, Griffin, Georgia, 30 July 1883

We are informed that Joseph Williamson, and aged citizen of Pike County and 
father of Thomas Williamson, a prominent citizen of Williamsville [?], 
committed suicide on Monday by shooting himself through the head. The cause of 
the act is unknown.

Additional Comments:
Joseph Williamson, b. abt. 1817 in South Carolina, d. 16 July 1883.
Married Mary Ann Riggins 24 Dec 1841.
