Mr. Theo Williams was born in Pike county, Ga., December 31st, 1844. They were married February 29th, 1880. They lived in Pike county all of their lives. Mrs. Williams’ “home-going” was just eleven days before her husband’s. He said at her burial: “I just want to go home and die. I loved the ground she walked on.” A beautiful and useful life was ended when God in his infinite wisdom, removed from our midst our beloved friend, Mrs. Theo Williams. It is sad to give them up, but God makes no mistakes; therefore we say, not our will but thine be done, but a great sorrow is ours when we realize that they are gone from us forever. To know “Aunt Puss” as almost everyone called her, was to appreciate her worth, her gentle nature scattered sunshine and kindness all around her. She was modest and retiring in her disposition. She had never united with any church but was Primitive Baptist inclined. She served her Master in a quite way. Mr. Williams united with the Congregational church here in his young manhood. He was a Confederate Veteran and his “home-going” only left three of the old company. He was a good neighbor and friend to all around. We extend our sympathy to the daughter, Mrs. J.O. Franklin and son, Mr. Willie Williams and other relatives. Look to the Lord - He can give you strength to stand what He has put upon you. - Mrs. O.T.D.
