Willis, a well known and valued citizen of Molena, died suddenly last Thursday and his funeral occurred there Saturday, the funeral being conducted by Rev. J.W.R. Jenkins of Zebulon. Mr. Willis was stricken while on the mail route and was dead when found, having evidently died while walking, leading his horse. He was 72 years old. He was a gallant Confederate veteran, belonging to the First Georgia reserves during the sixties. He is survived by two sons, J.N. Willis of Memphis, Tenn., and R.C. Willis of Molena, and two daughters, Mrs. Alice Matthews of Molena, and Mrs. Willie Gibson of Atlanta. Messrs. Henry G. Jordan and John N. Jordan, Mrs. Emmett Langford and Miss Jane Maxwell attended the funeral from Barnesville.
