Willis, Prominent Molena Citizen, Dies Mr. Dawson M. Willis, 66, a prominent merchant and planter and widely known throughout middle Georgia, died in Molena Monday, January 3rd, after a short illness. Prominent in business circles for the past 38 years since coming to Molena from muscogee county, Mr. Willis was prominent in civic and church organizations. He served the First Baptist church as a deacon for over 30 years and was superintendent of the Sunday school for the past 25 years. Mr. Willis was married twice. His first wife was Miss Jeff Baker of Zebulon, and his second wife was Mrs. Evie Lowe of Manchester, Ga., who survives him. He is also survived by four children, Mrs. S.O. Bartlett of Molena; Carey B. Willis, Greensboro, N.C.; Paul H. Willis of Waynesboro, and Mrs. I.T. McGee of Lawrenceville. Funeral Services were conducted at the Baptist church by the pastor, Rev. T.J. Espy of Concord and burial was in the Molena cemetery. Additional Comments: D.M. Willis' first wife was Nancy Jefferson Davis Baker. She died 05 January 1918.
