Deaths

Dear Brethren:

Please publish the obituary of Elder George Wright, who died February 16, 
1861, of old age. He was born in South Carolina in 1772 and joined the church 
at Sardis, Pike Co., Ga., in 1827. The Saturday before he died, Brother 
William Morgan preached at his daughter's house. He seemed to enjoy the 
preaching very much. On Sunday he went to church and heard Brother Morgan 
preach again which was the last sermon he ever heard. He leaves three sons, a 
daughter and several grand and great children to mourn their loss, but their 
loss is his eternal gain. -Thomas Cook
