Additional Comments:
Old Salem cemetery is located on Highway 36, from Barnesville to Thomaston.
it is in Upson County but not very far from Willis Road where the Virden
Family cemetery is located.

This is a very new headstone placed by by Adams cousins.

David Adams came from Warren County to Pike or this area of what had been
Pike...around the Vega and The Rock area.  His Father was Benjamin Adams,
Southhampton Co. Virginia - revolutionary Soldier and his wife Celia Reese.

Mary Johnson, (called Polly) was the daughter of William Johnson,
Revolutionary soldier and his wife Lucy Rosannah Reese.
