This typewritten record was inserted in Marriage Book C, Pike County Marriages 
1900-1912:

Georgia, Pike County:

Personally before me the undersigned officer authorised by law to administer 
oaths came, Ella Callahan age 54, and Mattie McCary age 60, who on oath sayth 
that they both were present when John Taylor and Susie Collier were married, 
that they were married on the third Sunday in September 1912, by Rev. W.H. 
Graham.

They make this affidavit in order to establish a marriage record of John Taylor 
and Susie Collier, as there is not a record of this marriage in the office in 
the court house where such records are kept. They further state that they are 
not related to either John Taylor or Susie Collier, now Susie Taylor.
