Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, April 16, 1897 Williamson Items Williamson, Ga., April 15, 1897 This morning, Mr. J. Henry Yarborough, accompanied by a few friends left for Jonesboro, where at 3:30 o’clock this afternoon at the home of the bride’s parents, he and Miss Bena Hanes will be quietly married. Mr. Yarborough is one of the best known young men in the county being a large planter and also a fruit grower to a considerable extent, while Miss Hanes is the charming and accomplished daughter of Mr. Elisha Hanes of Jonesboro. They will live at “Fern Dell” the beautiful home of the groom’s parents, where doubtless the bride, with her charming grace, will add new laurels to a home already noted for its kindly hospitality. The young couple start out on life’s sea under most favorable auspices, and hundreds of friends wish them “Bon Voyage.” (Transcribed 06/18/03 Lynn Cunningham) This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
