Moye were joined in the holy bonds of matrimony by Rev. W.S. Heath. The wedding took place at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Griffin near Woodland, where the parlor was artistically decorated with smilax and the solemn service was witnessed by many beloved friends and relatives of the contracting parties. Miss Griffin of fine stature and beautiful face, is widely known, most especially in Pike, Upson and here, where she has taught school for several years, giving satisfaction and winning a good name for herself at each school. It was while teaching at Gordon Institute that she met Mr. Moye, who should feel proud of himself to have won such a fine, well-raised young lady for his lifetime companion. The bride was tastefully gowned in a tailored suit of grey and large picture hat of black beaver, so becoming to her type of beauty. The real lace jabot with old rose touch of heart and rose design won a popular place. Mr. Moye comes to us well recommended and a promising citizen of Pike county. Miss Moye, his sister, Misses Sappy, Mr. Moye, Mr. Wilson and several others accompanied him from Barnesville, while his aunt Mrs. Moye and daughter, came from Atlanta. Many beautiful and serveable presents were received. A large concourse of friends and relatives accompanied them to Woodland, where the happy couple boarded the AB&A for Atlanta and other points. Misses Ola Mills, Jessie Woodall and Marianne Griffin and Messrs. J.M. Ferguson, O.M. Daniel, Carl Griffin and others will meet them in Barnesville and accompany them to the home of Mr. Moye’s parents. May all their days be as bright as their wedding day. We wish for them a long and happy life.
