The marriage occurred in the parlor of the Ballard house, and was quite interesting. The tax books show that the groom has a farm of 65 acres of land in the western portion of the county. This was transferred by deed to Miss Ward, who is perhaps 40 years of age, and the marriage ceremony was then promptly performed.
