The Pike County Journal
Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia: September 9, 1892

Uncle Frank Joiner who lives near Molena, and who is one of the oldest
men in the county, being over 89, was married in Zebulon by Dr. Redding
last week to Miss Ella Ward. The marriage occurred in the parlor of the
Ballard house, and was quite interesting. The tax books show that the
groom has a farm of 65 acres of land in the western portion of the
county. This was transferred by deed to Miss Ward, who is perhaps 40
years of age, and the marriage ceremony was then promptly performed.
