Miss McElroy is a niece of Dr. J.R. and J.M. Graves, of Zebulon, and was in the Griffin District Institute until this year. She has many friends here. Last Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the residence of the bride occurred the marriage of Miss Janie McElroy to Mr. O.E. Jackson, of this place. The ceremony was witnessed by many friends and relatives and was performed by Rev. J.N. Snyder. Miss Janie is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. McElroy and is a lovely young lady, admired by all who know her. Mr. Jackson is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Jackson and is assistant cashier of the Farmer’s and Merchant’s Bank at this place. The bridal party on Monday came to the home of the groom’s parents where a reception was tendered.
