Friday, October 14, 1904 Hartley - Barron Miss Clyde Hartley of this place and Rev. R.L. Barron of Atwater, were married at the home of the bride’s parents, Judge and Mrs. W.M. Hartley, at 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon. The ceremony was performed by Rev. W.T. Buffington in the presence of only a few friends of the contracting parties. The bride is an accomplished and most estimable young lady, being the oldest daughter of Judge and Mrs. Hartley. Rev. Mr. Barron is a Baptist preacher of Upson county and a Christian gentleman. They left immediately for their home in Upson, accompanied by the best wishes of their friends for a long and happy life.
