(Transcribed 06/06/03 Lynn Cunningham) This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ Additional Comments by Valerie Johnson Freeman: This is Nancy Matilda Horton, daughter of Peyton Flournoy Horton and third wife, Permelia Jane Cook. Nancy was the youngest of Peyton's 15(!) children. I have these notes from a memoir written by her niece, Mozelle (Horton) Young: pg. 43: "Nancy Matilda (Aunt Bounce - Helen's mother) was the baby. She was born February 28, 1875 and died August 19, 1959. She was first married to G. Wilkins and they lived on the Wilkins' place in Fayette County and were the parents of William Thoms (Billy) and Helen Marion. After his death in a hunting accident Aunt Bounce and the children moved to Fayetteville. When she was 40 she married Rufus Favis (Davis?), 45, a bachelor and they moved to Kenwood (Fayette Co. GA). He is the one I knew because I do not remember Helen's father."
