Beckham - Whatley

Mr. James C. Beckham of Concord and Miss Mattie Whatley of Jolly were quietly 
married yesterday afternoon at the home of the bride’s. The Journal joins their 
friends in extending congratulations.

The groom is Jesse Caldwell Beckham (not James as stated in the newspaper). The 
bride is Martha Susan Whatley, daughter of William Andrew Whatley and Emma Ann 
Elizabeth Horton (daughter of Peyton F. Horton).
