Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, August 25, 1899 Green - Redding The following invitation has been received by friends: "Mrs. Wiley M. Redding requests the honor of your presence at the marriage of her daughter, Trumie, to Mr. Hartford L. Green on Tuesday evening, September fifth, at 8 o’clock, at the Baptist church, Zebulon, Ga." Mr. Green and Miss Redding are two of our best known young people, and the announcement of their approaching marriage was received with much interest. Miss Redding is a lovely young lady of high character and belongs to one of the best families of Pike. Mr. Green ia a young business man and has been with Mr. W.J. Franklin in the merchantile business for a number of years. Their friends offer congratulations in advance. Also The Pike County Journal. Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, September 8, 1899 Pretty Church Wedding One of the prettiest weddings that has ever been celebrated in Old Zebulon was that of Mr. Hartford L. Green to Miss Trumie Redding at the Baptist church Tuesday evening at 8 o’clock. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J.W. Beck. Mr. Claude Hutcheson of Jonesboro was best man, and the groomsmen were Col. C.R. Gwyn and G.L. Strickland. Miss Eva Beckham, of Molena, was maid of honor, and the bridesmaids were Misses Annie Howell and Jessie Dupree. The ushers were Messrs. Rufe Green, Fred Redding, Martin Pope and Perrin Head. The decorations at the church were elaborate and artistic. At the home of the bride, where a brilliant reception followed the church ceremony, the scheme of decorations were white and pink. Mr. and Mrs. Green are now at the home of the bride where they are receiving the congratulations of many friends.
