Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, January 4, 1901 Lyles - Howell An event of much interest during the holidays was the marriage of Miss Alma Howell, of Lifsey, to Mr. James Lyles, of this place. The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride’s parents on Wednesday the 26th of December, by Rev. G.W. Farr, of Milner. A large circle of friends and relatives witnessed the ceremony. After the ceremony the guests at the marriage returned to Zebulon and were entertained at a brilliant wedding supper at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Lyles, the parents of the groom. Mr. and Mrs Lyles have the best wishes of a host of friends. (Transcribed 10/10/03 Lynn Cunningham) Additional Comments: Alma Howell was a daughter of Samuel Howell and Mary Frances Barrett.
