Mallard - McCord

The marriage of Mr. R.A. Mallard, of Iron City, Ga., to Miss Mattie McCord of 
this place was solemnized at the residence of the bride’s parents yesterday 
afternoon at 3:30 o’clock. It was a home wedding. The decorations were tasteful 
and attractive. The ceremony was performed by Rev. A.B. Pope in an impressive 
manner.

Miss McCord is the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.S. McCord and is a young 
lady of many accomplishments. She has many friends and admirers who regret to 
give her up.

The groom, Mr. Mallard, is a large planter and merchant of Decater [sp] county, 
with headquarters at Iron City.

The Journal extends its congratulations.
