Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, June 7, 1901 Howell - Bussey Mr. William Dean Howell, of this city was married last Sunday evening at 4 o’clock to Miss Gertie Bussey, of Barnesville, at the home of the bride’s aunt, Mrs. Emma Varner. The ceremony was performed by Rev. A.B. Pope, of this place in the presence of relatives and friends. The contracting parties arre well known to our readers. Mr. Howell is a worthy young man and belongs to one of the best and oldest families in this section. Miss Bussy is a daughter of ex-sheriff W.P. Bussey. She has been an assistant teacher of Jeff Davis Institute for a number of years and has made many friends. They have the best wishes of a number of friends. Gertie’s father was W.P. Bussey. “Billy,” as he was known, was murdered in Florida in 1891. Gertie’s mother was Mary McLean.
