Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, January 3, 1902 Harvey - Aldridge On Sunday afternoon the 22 ultimo at the residence of the bride’s parents near Meansville, this county, there was a beautiful marriage in the presence of a number of friends and relatives. The contracting parties were Mr. Van Harvey and Miss Mabel Aldridge. The ceremony was performed by Rev. C.V. Weathers. The parlor of the home was tastefully decorated with evergreen. Promptly at 3:30 the bridal party entered the parlor while Miss Annelu Howard in a very impressive manner played the wedding march. The groom leaned upon the arm of his brother, Prof. Harvey, as best man. and the bride upon the arm of her sister Miss Elizabeth Aldridge as bridesmaid. When the sweet strands of music had ceased, the minister stepped forward and with the very impressive ceremony of his church pronounced the happy pair as husband and wife. There were quite a number of beautiful bridal presents. Mr Harvey is a splendid business man holding a position with the Southern Railway. Miss Aldridge is a beautiful and accomplished young lady and belongs to one of the best families of the county. We congratulate the happy couple in their marriage and wish for them a happy journey through life.
