McLean, the bride's father, Mr. J.W. Brandon of Upson county and Miss Annie McLean were happily united in marriage, Rev. J.B. Johnston performing the ceremony. The attendants were Charles Reviere and Miss Nettie Colquitt, George Perdue and Miss Lucy Brandon, Albert Middlebrooks and Miss Fannie Whitaker, Zach Moore and Miss T.M. Hagood, Jack McElvin and Miss Lizzie McLean, George Moore [and] Miss Alice Willis. The happy couple were given many pretty and costly presents, in which Barnesville remembered them quite liberally. After the ceremony, an elegant dinner was enjoyed and a pleasant time had generally. In the evening a large crowd assembled at the home of the groom's father where an elegant reception was held.
