Zebulon, Pike Co., Ga., Friday March 22, 1895 To Be Married The following is a copy of the cards sent out to friends during the early part of this week. Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Pope invite you to be present at the marriage of their daughter Katie to Mr. William P. Merritt Thursday afternoon, March twenty-eight Eighteen hundred and ninety five at three o'clock at their residence Zebulon, Ga. The announcement will be of more than usual interest on account of the prominence and popularity of the contracting parties. Mr. Merritt is one of the leading teachers in the Columbus, Ga., public schools, and Miss Pope is a daughter of Judge and Mrs. J.S. Pope of this place.
