Announcement

Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Smith, of Concord, have issued invitations to the marriage 
of their daughter, Miss Maud, to Mr. E.L. Raven of the same place, the wedding 
to occur early in May at the Christian church in Concord.

Smith - Raven

One of the prettiest weddings ever witnessed in Concord was that of Miss Maude 
Smith to Mr. Edgar Levi Raven at the Christian church in Concord on Wednesday 
night.

The church was beautifully decorated and everything passed off as arranged. 
The ceremony was performed by Rev. F.L. Adams, of Atlanta.

Miss Florence Smith, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and Mr. Charles 
Raven, brother of the groom, best man. The attendants were Misses Tommie 
Raven, Kittie Wyche and Annie Sullivan, Messrs. T.C. Beckham, I.W. Strickland 
and J.W. Wing. Ushers J.H. Lee, Jr., T.E. Mathews, T.P. Blakely and S.A. King. 
The wedding march was played by Mrs. Bessie Lee, sister of the bride.

After the ceremony many friends of the contracting parties enjoyed 
refreshments at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Smith.
