All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: William Russell dragonraj@comcast.net September 5, 2006, 12:26 pm Source: Will Book C 1844 Pike County Probate Court Written: December 5, 1843 Recorded: May 6, 1844 1st I Ezekiel Mitcham Blake of Pike County and State of Georgia do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner and form following, viz, I give and bequeath to my beloves Sister Lucy [?] Ann Harp the following property: viz, three Negroes namely Sarah a girl supposed to be eighteen years old Emmaline a girl supposed to be sixteen Claborn a boy supposed to be thirteen years old all the rest and residue of my Estate goods and chattels I give to my beloved sister Lucy Ann Harp also in notes of hand five hundred and thirty four Dollars forty two cents and three fourths when all my just and known debts are paid. 2nd [ no listings 3rd Whereas I nominate and appoint Wm. Harp sole Executor of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all others and former wills by me at anytime heretofore made. 4th And I wish it to be further understood that all the aforesaid property given and bequeathed by me to my beloved sister Lucy Ann Harp shall be entirely for her use and benefit during her natural life and afterwards to be equally divided between the lawful heirs of her body. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 5th of December 1843 signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator Ezekiel Mitcham Blake as and for his last will and Testament in presence of us who have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto in the presence of the Said Testator Ezekiel Mitcham Blake W. P. Nelson Thom. J. Bussey William Harp Georgia Pike County We William P. Nelson and Thomas J. Bussey do solemnly swear that we saw Ezekiel Mitcham Blake by making his mark sign seal publish and declare this writing to be and contain his will that at the time thereof he was of sound disposing mind and memory and that he did it freely without compulsion to the best of our knowledge and that we saw David Nelson and William Harp sign the same as witnesses this 2nd day of January 1844.
