I, Milton Cauthen of the county and state aforesaid being of feeble health but of sound and disposing memory, knowing the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death, make this my last will and testament disposing of such property as it has pleased almighty God to bestow upon me and hereby revoking and annulling all other wills or will heretofore made by me. 1st. I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent Christian like manner suitable to my circumstances in life, believing in the resurrection and reunion with my soul at the great day of final accounts as I hope for salvation through the merits and atonement of the blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 2nd. It is my will and desire that all my just debts be paid by my executor hereinafter appointed. 3rd. It is my will and desire and I will and bequeath all my property, both real and personal to my beloved wife, Martha Cauthen for and during her natural life and that she be buried in a decent Christian like manner suitable to her circumstances in life. 4th. I have advanced to my beloved daughter Mrs. Carrie Walker one hundred Dollars (100) to my beloved daughter Mrs. Georgia Ann Blackman Fifty (50) Dollars and to my beloved daughter Missouri Lewis deceased Fifty (50) Dollars. 5th. It is my will, wish and desire that after the death of my beloved wife that all of my property be sold by my executor hereinafter named and that after paying the expenses of Administration my two beloved daughters Miss Rebecca Cauthen and Mrs. Mary Wright each be paid fifty dollars before anything is paid to my beloved daughter Mrs. Georgia Ann Blackman or the children to wit. Miss Kate Lewis and Jimmie Lewis, two children of my said deceased daughter being my grand children and that may said daughters herein before named in this the 5th Item of my will be each paid (50) fifty dollars and said two grand children each Twenty five (25) Dollars. Then each of my living daughters will have received an equal share to the advancement made by me to my said daughters Carrie Walker and my said two grand children with the advancement of $50.00 made by me to their deceased mother will be equal to the advancement made by me to my daughters Mrs. Carrie Walker. My living children and said representatives of said deceased daughter being made equal as above indicated. It is my will and wish and desire that the remainder of the proceeds from the sale of my property be equally divided among my said living children and said two grand children share and share alike. Said two grand children receiving the share that their mother would have received were she in life. 6th. It is my will wish and desire that my grandson John A. Edmonds receive nothing more, he having already received more than his share of my estate. 7th. I hereby constitute and appoint my friend S. J. Hale executor of this my last will and testament this the 6th day of January 1906.
