Gilmore of the County of Pike and state of Georgia & having taken into consideration of the Shortness and uncertainty of this life, and _____of ___ und__ a ___ ___ which I must shortly enter into my worthy ___ ____ of ___ but insert (being) sound in mind and under the sufficiency apply rational favors: do on this day to rail the eighth day of August in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and twenty seven. ordain, constitute and declare this my last will and Testament. After recommending my soul to that God from which ordained it. Before whom I believe it shall stand in the day of Eternity. (A Proceed to the distribution of my earthly goods -- That is to say) in the first place I will my body after my decease to be buried in a decent and pleasing manner. Item second. I give unto my dear wife Nancy Gilmore all my property of any description in order that she may be enable to raise up my children (to wit) Elizabeth Gilmore.
