I Thomas W. Harris of the State and County aforesaid, being of disposing mind and memory, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in the following manner towit First I will and direct that all my just debts be paid. Second I will and direct that my house, lot and furniture in Barnesville, my present residence, together with what Servants of mine that may be necessary (for) my wife Martha A. Harris being left to judge for herself to be kept by her my aforesaid wife Martha A. for the common benefit of my family; wife Martha A. and children Eleanor Harris, Wade Hampton Harris, Thomas Harris, Martha Bial Harris, Wilmot Claiborn Harris, Mary Francis Harris, and Hampton Harris or the survivors of them until she my said wife Martha A. may again marry, then to be equally divided between her my aforesaid wife Martha A. and my aforesaid children Eleanor, Nathan, Thomas, Martha B., Wilmot C., Mary F., and Wade H. or the survivors of them share and share alike in equal and just portions. Third In the event of my aforesaid wife Martha A. dying unmarried and my widow, then my aforesaid children Eleanor, Nathan, Thomas, Martha B., Wilmot C., Mary F. and Wade H. or the survivors of them to inherit and _?_ the aforesaid property House, lot. Furniture and servants share and share alike. Fourth I more give to my aforesaid wife and Martha A. and children Eleanor, Nathan, Thomas, Martha B., Wilmot C., Mary F., and Wade H. or the survivors of them the whole of the residue of my estate of all and every description (except that heretofore seat apart in the second clause of this my will for the purposes therein explained) and for it to be kept together in common(?) by my hereinafter named Executrix and Executors to be managed, used and controlled by them for the joint interest and benefit of my aforesaid wife and children until my aforesaid wife again marries , or any one or more of my aforesaid children may become of age, or marry then for the one so marrying, or becoming of age whether it is wife or child, to receive therefrom one equal _?_ share of said estate, or property thus left to them _?_ and the remaining balance to be kept together in common as before until another shall marry or become of age, then for another equal division in like manner to be had and so on until the whole estate left under the fourth clause of this my will shall be exhausted by reason of such _?_ divisions being had as is contemplated and _?_ by me upon the _?_ of such marriages or the attainment of age of the children as stipulated by me as above set forth. Fifth I now constitute and appoint my wife Martha A. Harris and my friends Hubert P. Elder and William M. Elder all of Barnesville in this State and County my Executrix and Executors to this my last Will and Testament with and ample power and authority that if they in the exercise of their best judgment shall judge it best _?_ for the common interest and benefit of my said wife and children to sell my present residence in Barnesville in this State and invest in the purchase of a house elsewhere for their joint and common interest and should there be a remaining balance over then to invest the balance in such other property as they may judge best for the promotion of the joint interest of my aforesaid wife and children. To all of which of the foregoing, as containing my last Will and wishes I hereunto affix my signature and seal this 13th day of May 1854 Thomas W. Harris Hereto attached was duly proven upon the oaths of Martha A. Harris Executrix and the witnesses Francis Reviere, Ezekial Hammit, and Agustus L. Allen in presence of John W.
