Jones of Said State and County having a sound and disposing mind and memory Knowing that I must shortly depart this life deem it right and proper both as respects my family and myself that I should make a disposition of the property with which a kind providence has blessed me I do therefore make this my last will and testament hereby revoking and annulling all others by me heretofore made First I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent and Christian like manner suitable to my circumstances and condition in life My soul I trust shall return to rest with God who gave it as I hope for salvation through the merits and atonement of the blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Second I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid by my Executor hereinafter named and appointed Third I give bequeath and devise to my beloved wife Mary one hundred and twenty seven and one half acres of land whereon I now live lying on the west side of Lot number hundred thirty nine in the eighth district of Originaly [sp] Monroe now Pike County with all the rights members appertenances [sp] to Said parcel of Land in anywise belonging free free [double entry] from all Charge to use to have and to hold as and for a home to raise our children also all the goods chattels appertaining in anywise belonging unto me after the sale of the balance of my Land which I supose [sp] will be sufficient to pay all my debts the use of all she is to have for the above named purpose of raising and keeping together our children during her natural life if she remains a widow otherwise if she my present wife may die or marry then all my effects both real and personal is to be sold and equally divided by my Executor between my wife Mary and all my children each having an equal part my daughter Frances excepted as I have given her as much as is my will she should have of mine Fourthly It is my will that my children as they become of age they have given off to them of my effects such goods chattels and tenements as shall be agreed upon between them and their mother and my Executor the valuation and amount as shall seem reasonable and right taking all the circumstances in consideration the eldest daughter excepted in all cases where any of them receive money or other thing of value they [----] to my Executor a receipt for the same. I hereby constitute and appoint my friend John Wadsworth Executor of this my last will and Testament Isaac W. Jones Signed sealed and declared and published by Isaac W. Jones as his last will and testament in the presence of us the undersigned who subscribed our names hereto in presence of said Testator at his special instance and request and in presence of each other This January the 5th 1863 W.W. Ferguson [?] F. J. Wadsworth Seaborn Jones J. B. Jones Pike Court of Ordinary Dec Term 1863 The will of Isaac W. Jones being produced in open court for Probate by the Executor who has filed his petition to prove the same and the witnesses to said will W.W. Ferguson & J.B. Jones having subscribed the following affidavit endorsed on Said will came into open court at this regular term of the Court Said W.W. Ferguson & J. B. Jones depose that they saw Isaac W. Jones sign and publish the within as his last will and and [double entry] testament while of sound and disposing mind and they witnessed the same for him at his request and in his presence & of each other and that the same was executed voluntarily by him on the day it purports to have been executed Sworn to and Subscribed W. W. Ferguson before me Dec Term 1863 J. B. Jones J. Sims Ordinary I John Wadsworth do solemnly swear that this writing contains the true last will of the within named Isaac W. Jones decsd so far as I know or believe and that I will well and truly execute the same by paying first the debts and then the legacies contained in said will as far as his goods and chattels will thereunto extend and the Law charge me and that I will make a true and perfect inventory of all such goods and chattels so help me God John Wadsworth Recorded January the 9th 1864 J.
