In the name of God Amen I Stephen M. B. Haselden being feeble in body but of perfect Sound and Disposing mind believing that it is appointed for all men to die do make this my last will and Testament in manner & form following I commit my Soul to God and commit my body to the grave and I do hereby enjoin my Executor hereinafter to be named to cause my remains to be decently buried and the expenses thereof paid out of my effects which may come into their hands after my decease. I give unto my four Children namely; William M. Haselden, Stephen B. Haselden, James O. A. Haselden and Jefferson R. Haselden all my Estate both real and personal after paying all my just debts except what I have herein after given to my wife I give unto my wife Sarah E. B. Haselden the sum of Ten Dollars in cash I do hereby give unto my Executors herein after to be named full power to act in all respects agreeable to their best judgment in the Management of my Estate So as to promote the interest and for the good of my Children - It is my will and desire that my Executors hereinafter to be named act as Guardians for all my Children in the management of their estates and in all other respects until they become of age or as long as they the said Executors may live. It is my will and desire that if after my Children become of age there should arise any dissatisfaction between them as regards their portion of my Estate that the decision of my Executors if living at the time shall be final. I do hereby appoint my respected friends John Foxwoth and Cadisman [?] Pope my lawful Executors to this my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal this 19th day April in the year of our Lord 1850 and the 74th American Independence S. Nash do solemnly swear that we saw Stephen M. B. Haselden sign , publish and declare this writing to be and contain his will and at the time thereof he was of sound disposing mind and memory and that he did it freely without compulsion to the best of our knowledge Martin C.
