I Susannah M. Hugley of Said State and county, being of advanced age, knowing that I must shortly depart this life deem it right and proper that I should make some disposition of the property with which a kind Providence has blessed me and being at this time of sound and disposing memory, do therefore make this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all others heretofore made by me. Item First I desire that my body after death, my body be buried in a decent and Christian like manner suitable to my circumstances and condition in life. Item Second I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid by my Executor hereinafter appointed. Item Third I give, bequeath and devise, to my beloved daughter Allice [sp] C. Sullivan with whom I have lived in friendship and comfort for many years past all my effects outside of the necessary expenses in the management of the same after my death to wit. Four hundred dollars in gold coin. Three hundred and twenty dollars in Greenbacks or paper currency ; One promissory note made payable to me by Shannon Talbot amounting in principal and interest now to about Five hundred dollars, Two feather beds and the bed clothing belonging thereto, One buggy and harness, to her forever to have use and enjoy without restriction Item Fourth I hereby constitute and appoint James M. Sullivan, the present husband of my said daughter Allice C. Sullivan executor of this my last Will and Testament this April 11th 1871. Susannah M. Hugley Signed, Sealed and declared and published by Susannah M. Hugley as her last Will and Testament in the presence of us the subscribers who subscribed our names hereto in the presence of said Testator (at her special instance and request) and of each other this April 11th 1871 Pike Court of Ordinary February Term 1873 Came into open Court at this regular Term of the Court R. V. Reid, C. F. Redding and F. W. A. Doyle and being duly sworn depose they saw Susannah M. Hugley sign and publish the within as her last Will and Testament while of sound and disposing mind, That they witnessed the same for her at her request, and in her presence and of each other, That the same was executed voluntarily by her on the day it purports to have been executed.
