Johnson of the County and State aforesaid being infirm of body but of sound mind and memory do make and declare this [ _ ] writing to be and contain my last will & testament. Item First After paying all my just debts I wish the balance of my Estate except my lands be kept together and worked by my said wife under the direction of my hereafter named Executor for the purpose of educating and raising my Said children, my said lands here for the convenience of my Executor I wish sold and the proceeds laid out in lands more convenient to my herein after Executor and this said land to be worked by my hands for the use of my said wife and so long as my said wife shall remain single and when she my said wife marries again, her right to have and use said lands and hands ceases and she is to receive in value a childs part of all of my Estate whether real or personal which is to be given to her by my said Executor. Item 2nd If my said wife remains Single as each of my said children had in lawful marriage with her my said wife shall marry or arrive at the age of twenty one years. I wish him or her to receive by valuation and allotment his or her equal part of all my Estate by [ _ ] my said wife as a child and the balance kept together and worked as aforesaid until a second child arrives at the age of twenty one years or marries and then he or she to receive his or her proportion as the first and so on to the last Item 3rd In case my said wife Marries I wish an equal division of my Estate made to each Child as he or she arrives at the age of twenty one years or marries as in Item Second Item 4th I hereby appoint my friend John F. Moreland my Executor to this my last Will & Testament giving and granting to my said Executor the right and power to sale [sp] any part of said Estate if he thinks it more for the interest of the Estate than to keep it or to buy anything [ _ ] for the estate when it becomes for the interest of the Estate. In witness whereof & in testimony of the same I William M. Johnson do hereunto set my hand & seal this day and date first above written William M. Johnson In presence of James Shipp his mark Abraham J. Cochran [sp] Isaac B. Williamson State of Georgia Pike County We James Shipp and Abraham J. Cochran do solemnly swear that we saw William M. Johnson sign seal & publish and declare this writing to be and contain his will that at the time thereof he was of sound disposing mind and memory and that he did it freely without compulsion to the best of our knowledge and that we saw Isaac B.
