Item 1st I desire and direct that my body be buried in a Christian like manner, my soul I trust shall return to God who gave it as I hope for salvation through the merits of the blessed God and Savior Jesus Christ whose religion I have professed and as I humbly trust enjoyed for many years Item 2nd I devise and direct that all my just debts be paid without delay by my Executors hereinafter [_] appointed Item 3rd I direct and devise that all my effects be speedily sold both real and personal and equally divided to my children herein named to wit - Franky Lee, Pheby Willeby [?], Nancy Jones, Zeluann [?] Weathers and Harriet Williamson Item 4th I will that the following demands be a part of my effects namely, a debt of two hundred and seven dollars by note on James Jones my son in law also a debt of account on James O. P. Weathers my son in law for twenty five dollars and a debt of account on Fuller Williamson for twenty dollars each of them to receive the above named debts against them as a portion of their legacy Item 5th I hereby constitute and appoint my worthy friends John B. Jones and John Wadsworth executors of this my last will and Testament September 25th 1853 Aaron Jones his mark Signed sealed and published by Aaron Jones as his last will and Testament in presence of us the Subscribers who subscribed our names thereto in the presence of the said Testator at his special instance and request and of each other this 25th of September 1853 Z. H. Kitching [?] Wm. R. Jones Joshua Willoughby [?] his mark State of Georgia Pike County We Zachariah H. Kitching, William R. Jones & Joshua Willoughby do solemnly swear that we saw Aaron Jones (making his mark) sign & seal and heard him publish and declare this writing to be and contain his will at the time thereof he was of sound disposing mind and memory and that he did it freely without compulsion to the best of our knowledge & belief so help us God Z. H. Kitching Wm. R. Jones Joshua Willoughby his mark Sworn to and subscribed in open court this 3rd day of October 1853 Wiley E.
