L. Martin I V. L. Martin of the County of Pike and State of Georgia being of sound and disposing Mind and Memory and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs while I have thought so to do. Do make and publish this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all wills by me at any time heretofore made. I desire to be buried in an appropriate manner and that the expenses thereof together with all my just debts be fully paid. I dispose of my worldly Estate as follows First after my just debts be paid, I give bequeath and devise to my Mother Mrs. M.[?] J. Martin her life time only, The property described as follows, All lands and property of any kind that I may own on Lot no. 31 8th district Pike Co. Georgia, all lands and property on lot no. 34 8th Dist Pike Co. Ga. At her decese [sp] this property is to be divided , like I dispose of the balance of my Estate as follows. I give bequeath and devise to my Sister Mrs. Kate M. Cauthen, one third of my Estate except that which I have disposed. I give bequeath and devise to my Brother J. C. Martin one third of all my estate except that which I have deposed from this will And I give bequeath and devise to my Brother Josh Martins children one Third of my Estate except that which I have disposed of in this Will V. L. Martin Signed declared and published by V. L. Martin as his last Will and Testament in the presence of the subscribers who subscribe our names hereto in the presence of said Testator at his instance and request and in the presence of each other and we signing in his presence. Parker as Witnesses to the within writing purporting to be the last Will of V. L. Martin deceased who being duly sworn depose and say that they did on the blank day of August, Sept, or October attest as witnesses the within writing in the presence of said V. L. Martin deceased and and said V. L. Martin deceased was at the time of said Attestation and signing of sound Mind and Memory R. A. Martin E. G. Gilmore J. G. Parker Witnesses I do solemnly swear that this writing contains the true last Will of the within named V. L. Martin deceased so far as I know or believe and that I will well and truly execute the same in accordance with the laws of the State so help me God. J. C. Martin who being duly sworn in the case of application to probate Will of V. L. Martin in solemn form says the writing presented to the court being the Will of V. L. Martin is in the hand writing of V. L. Martin and that the signature thereto is the signature of V. L. Martin and that the attestation clause is also in the hand writing of V. L. Martin J. C.
