I Alexander McCloud of said state and county being of advanced age and knowing that I must shortly depart form this world deem it right and proper truth as respect myself and family that I should make a disposition of the property with which a kind providence has helped me. I therefore make this my last will and testament hereby severing and annulling those heretofore made by me. Item First} I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent and Christian like manner suitable to my circumstances and conditions. My soul I trust shall return to rest with God who gave it. Item Second} I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid without delay by my executors herein afterward as I am unwilling my indebtors should be delayed of their rights especially as there is no necessity for delay. Item Third} I give and devise to my beloved wife Margaret with whom I have lived in peace and quiet and love for about forty years; giving one and a quarter acre of land it being the half of the land that I live on at the present and she is to have the liberty of selecting her portions off of any part as she may think proper including the dwelling house and other out houses that she may think proper and other out houses that she may wish, with all the rights, members and appurtenances to ease a need of land in any one appurtenancy whatever to her own proper use benefit and behalf forever with full power to dispose of the same at any time before or at her death as she may think proper. I also give and bequeath to my wife in the same unreserved manner the farming utensils used on and belonging to my plantation of every description whatever and one such horse as she may choose out of my stock of horses. Also one half of my stock of cattle to be selected by her. Also one half of my stock of pigs such as she may choose. Also one half of my stock of sheep such as she may choose also all my household and kitchen furniture also the half of my oxen and cart also all the corn, fodder and wheat belonging to me on said premises all without reserve or limitations. Item Fourth} I give and bequeath to my beloved wife for and during her natural life my Negro girl Fanny . Item Fifth} The rest of my property both real and personal I wish to be equally divided amongst my beloved childen and at the death of my wife, the aforesaid Negro girl, Fanny, to be equally divided amongst my childdren in like manner. Item Sixth} I constitute and appoint my beloved wife Margaret Executrix and my son Anguish McCloud and my son in law William H.
