A. Phillips of Concord Ga I M. A. Phillips of said state & county being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make this my last Will and Testament Item 1st I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent and Christian like manner suitable to my circumstances and condition in life. Item 2nd I desire and direct that all my debts be paid without unnecessary delay, by my Executor herein after named and appointed. Item 3rd I give to my Niece Mollie Moreland my Iron bedstead, feather bed, mattress, and one small folding table and Two Hundred dollars in cash. Item 4th I give to my Sister Mrs. S. F. McLendon one Hundred Dollaars in cash. Item 5th I give to my niece Mrs. Alura Scott Two Hundred Dollars in cash. Item 6th I give to my Nephew J. C. (Robert) Williams Two Hundred Dollars in Cash Item 7th I give to my Nephew W. G. Moreland One Hundred Dollars in cash Item 8th I give to Mrs. Mary McLendon Two Hundred Dollars in cash Item 9th I give to Jeff Strickland a house and lot in the town of Concord Pike County Ga with all the rights members and appurtenances to the same appertaining or belonging to said Lot containing ¼ of an acre more or less, bounded on the North by lands of J. C. Irwin, East by land of Blake & Maddox, South and West by Blacksmith Shop lot. Said Lot to be measured off by my Executor and given to the said Jeff Strickland free from all charges and limitation whatsoever. Item 10 I give to my Nephew W. P. Braswell, my house and Lot and all improvements thereon in the town of Concord Ga Pike County the same being the family residence. I also give to my Nephew the said W. P. Braswell my storehouse shop Woodshop and shoe shop and lot located in the town of Concord Ga Pike County with all rights members and appurtenances with said lots of land in anywise appertaining or belonging free from all charges and limitations whatsoever. I also give my Nephew the said W. P. Braswell, the residue of my household and kitchen furniture of every kind whatsoever not here before willed & described. I also give to my said Nephew, the said W. P. Braswell Two Hundred Dollars in cash and four shares of stock in the Concord Gin and Warehouse Co. Item 11 I hereby constitute and appoint my friend G. E. Strickland as the sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, and I expressly confer upon him power as such to administer my Estate relieving him from giving any bond or making any returns to the Ordinary, and I expressly confer upon him full power and authority to sell any part of my Estate not herein before specially devised at public or private sale, with or without Order from the Court of Ordinary as may seem best to him making good and sufficient Titles in fee simple to the purchasers and whatsoever he may receive from property not herein devised, I want my said Executor to pay to my Nephew the said W. P. Braswell in addition to legacies herein before given to the said W. P. Braswell Item 12 If I should not have on hand at the time of my death Money sufficient to pay my Executor, his legal commissions and expenses and other costs of administering my Estate as herein provided, Then in this event, I want my said Executor to pay these out of any money I may have on hand at the time, and take what ever may be necessary for this purpose from the special cash legacies given in Items 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, & 10, and this to be in proportion to the amount of said legacy, that is each legacy paying its [ _ ] of said expenses M. Philips deceased who being duly sworn depose and say that they did on The 9th day of July Attest as witnesses the within and foregoing writing in the presence of Mrs. M. A. Phillips and in the presence of each other and that Mrs. M. A. Phillips signed and published the same freely and voluntarily in their presence her last Will and Testament and that Mrs. M. A.
