Carson, the bed and household furniture of mine which she has in possession; also a bedstead, a trunk one set of chairs, one set knives and forks; one fine table and fifty dollars in money, to her and her heirs forever. 3rd The many acts of kindness performed, and the many valuable services rendered to me and my late wife by my step daughters Mrs. Jane E. Jackson and Mrs. Mary M. Lee give them strong claims on my gratitude and; and I therefore give and bequeath to them my horse and buggy - my two cows and calves, all my household and kitchen furniture and all my other property and effects except what I have specifically bequeathed in the preceding clause of this will to Mrs. Carson, to have and hold said property to the said Jane E. and Mary M. Lee, their heirs forever 4th I hereby appoint Roland Jackson & Mary M. Lee Executor & Executrix with authority to execute this my last will and testament, Signed Sealed and acknowledged this 5th day of April 1865 Wyatt Ward Signed sealed and acknowledged by the testator in our presence and in the presence of each other; on the day & year aforesaid S. Williams Georgia Pike County Before me on the 2nd day of April 1866 at April Term for the purpose of proving the Last Will and Testament of Wyatt Ward the witnesses to said will and Testament S. O. Jones & J. A. Williamson and the will having been read & brought before me for probate by the Executrix who has filed a petition for probate of the same they the said witnesses depose and says they saw said Wyatt Ward signed and publish the same as his last will and testament on the day and year then stated as executed by him, that they witness the same at his request, in his presence and in the presence of each other, that the same was voluntarily executed by him while he was of sound mind & memory J. A. Williams S. O. Jones Sworn to and subscribed April 2nd 1866 J. J. Harper Georgia Pike County I Mary M. Lee do Solemnly swear that this writing contains the true and last will and testament of the within named Wyatt Ward deceased so far as I know or believe, and that I will [ well ] and truly execute the same by paying first the just debts and then the legacies contained in the said will as far as his goods and chattels will thereunto extend and the Law charges me and that I will make a true and perfect inventory of all such goods and chattels so help me God.
