Item 1st It is my will and desire to favor my beloved wife _?_ Hightower over and above my children, consequentially I give and bequeath to her and for her own use and benefit my Black Match (or Watch?) horses and Close(?) carriage and my Mulatto servant girl Love and woman Emily, said woman Emily of dark complexion Item 2nd It is further my will and desire that after the payment of all debts and legal liabilities that the balance of my estate real and personal shall be kept together for the mutual benefit of my said wife and children provided my executors herein after mentioned may think it best to do so - leaving the matter entirely to their better judgment and discretion, my said wife and children each to them equally and alike in said estate and all the profits accumulating or arising there from. My Negroes to be divided according to the usual rule in such cases, and other property _?_ and equally divided, leaving the terms of said sale and its distribution wholly with my said executors. Item 3rd It is my desire that ________ act as my executors to execute this my last will and testament and I do hereby appoint them as such, giving them full power to do as to them shall seem most conductive to the interest of my said estate, my said wife and children. Hightower two of the subscribing witnesses to the above will do solemnly swear that we saw David Hightower sign and seal and hand _?_ publish and declare this writing to be and contain his will and at the time there of he was of sound disposing mind and memory and that he did it freely without compulsion to the best of our knowledge and belief and that we saw Allen G.
